The idea of growth

The notion of growth will be important in the future but not so of economic/financial growth but that of psychological, spiritual and cultural growth. We already have enough industrial power to feed, clothe and shelter everyone on earth. Our physical evolution has reached some limits, but our psychological evolution is not limited at all.

Discipline of Desire

Something that majority of humanity still does want to learn is the discipline of desire. Desire can have four levels of intensity or grossness: - nourishing experience - satisfaction or fulfilment - consumption - devouring ... In principle one should not go beyond satisfaction.

Desire, Ego, Reason and Love

What are the driving forces which make man act? They are desire, ego, reason and love. All four have their right place in the scheme of things. However, when desire and the ego principle are no longer guided by reason and love but try to dominate, then suffering and inequality is an inevitable consequence.

A New Hope

We are witnessing a growing global unrest and disillusionment with the mechanical and reductive way of life, which disempowers human being on so many levels. Almost everywhere there are cries for a greater democracy. Behind this movement, even if only on an unconscious level, there is an urge to live a greater spiritual life, free from the mind-numbing ideologies and fears about physical existence.
